'World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognised day on April 2 every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the world.'

Not only is it World Autism Awareness Day this Saturday (2nd April), it is also World Autism Acceptance Week (28 March - 3 April). With 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, we think it is important to acknowledge these events to offer support where we can. For those who are interested in finding out more about autism and how you can donate to the National Autistic Society - you can visit their website or donate here.

Did you know that some bold patterns and primary or very bright colour tones can cause overstimulation? Check out our framed poster of autism-friendly colours / tones:

The National Autistic Society is there to support the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. Be it running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights, or training companies on being more autism-friendly, they are dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes.
